Terms of Service CrownStone Diamonds – Ethical Diamond Sourcing & Provenance

Welcome to CrownStone Diamonds. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of our website, provenance reports, sourcing information, and other resources (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Definitions

“CrownStone Diamonds”, “We”, “Us”, “Our” refers to CrownStone Diamonds, the operator of this website and the provider of ethical diamond sourcing and provenance information.

“You”, “Your” refers to any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Services.

“Provenance Information” refers to origin data, Kimberley Process certification details, blockchain traceability records, supply chain documentation, and provenance narratives published or provided by CrownStone Diamonds.

“Best Practice Principles” refers to the ethical standards framework adopted by CrownStone Diamonds covering Business, Social, Environmental and Mining Responsibilities.

2. Use of the Services

You may access and use the Services for lawful purposes only, including:

• Researching the ethical provenance of diamonds and diamond supply chains.
• Educating yourself, your customers or your organisation about responsible diamond sourcing.
• Requesting provenance reports, sourcing consultations and other related Services.
• Sharing our publicly available content for non-commercial, educational purposes with clear attribution to CrownStone Diamonds.

You agree to use the Services in a manner consistent with all applicable laws, including but not limited to regulations governing the Kimberley Process, OECD Due Diligence Guidance, anti-money laundering, and consumer protection.

3. Provenance Information & Accuracy

CrownStone Diamonds aims to ensure that all Provenance Information published on the Services is accurate, verified and independently sourced. We draw from Kimberley Process certification data, blockchain traceability records such as those maintained by recognised diamond traceability platforms, supply chain documentation, and independent research.

However:

• Provenance Information is provided on an “as-is” basis and may be updated, corrected or amended as new data becomes available.
• CrownStone Diamonds does not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of third-party data provided by mines, traders, laboratories or verification platforms.
• Users relying on Provenance Information for commercial decisions should conduct their own due diligence in addition to the information we provide.
• Any provenance claim published by a user of the Services, a retailer or a brand based on our information must accurately reflect the data provided and must not misrepresent origin, sourcing or compliance status.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on the Services — including text, provenance narratives, research reports, graphics, logos, and site design — is the property of CrownStone Diamonds or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may:

• View, download and print our publicly available content for personal and internal business use.
• Quote reasonable excerpts of our content with clear attribution to CrownStone Diamonds.

You may not:

• Reproduce, resell, sublicense or redistribute our reports, provenance narratives or other proprietary content without prior written permission.
• Use the CrownStone Diamonds name, logo or trademarks in a way that suggests endorsement or partnership without our consent.
• Modify, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from our proprietary content for commercial purposes.

5. User Responsibilities

When using the Services, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information when submitting enquiries, requesting provenance reports or entering into communication with CrownStone Diamonds.
• Not use the Services to make false, misleading or unverifiable claims about diamonds, their origins or their ethical sourcing status.
• Not misuse, scrape, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or data.
• Not use the Services for any unlawful, harmful or fraudulent purpose.
• Comply with all applicable Kimberley Process, OECD and other relevant regulatory requirements.

6. Provenance Reports & Services

CrownStone Diamonds offers Origin Reports, Full Provenance Narratives and Enterprise research solutions. When you request a report or consultation:

• We will document the requested diamond, source or supply chain as accurately as available data allows.
• Fees are agreed in advance and are non-refundable once work has commenced, unless otherwise stated in writing.
• Reports are provided for your use in verifying and communicating provenance. They may not be altered in a way that misrepresents the findings.
• If new or conflicting data becomes available after a report is issued, we will issue an updated version where appropriate.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CrownStone Diamonds, its directors, employees and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of business opportunity, or reputational harm.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services shall not exceed the amount paid by you to CrownStone Diamonds for the specific Service giving rise to the claim.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, misused our Services, or engaged in conduct that harms CrownStone Diamonds, its partners or the integrity of the diamond industry.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, industry standards or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and may notify users via email or a prominent notice on our website. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which CrownStone Diamonds is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
